CNC Machine Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION: Operate computer console to perform work on assigned machines where complex setups are performed by others. Ability to use measurement tools to check work. Ability to make simple adjustments to machines and accurately operate a computer console.

Location: Batavia-IL

Schedule: 2nd Shift 10:40 AM - 02:30 PM

Pay rate: $23 and up

Duties:

• Operate CNC mills and lathes.
• Read and interpret technical prints/drawings.
• Set up machines, including feeds, speeds, tooling, and fixtures.
• Perform in-process quality inspections.
• Maintain production, quality, and safety standards.
• Complete inventory and job documentation accurately.
• Communicate and collaborate with multiple departments.
• Assist with continuous improvement and cross-training.
• Follow all safety procedures and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Able to communicate effectively (verbal, written and active listening) at all organization levels and functions
• Good math, measurement and written/verbal comprehension skills
• Able to measure using established tolerances--micrometer, calipers; understand quality specs
• Able to read basic prints and drawings, charts, graphs
• Able to understand manufacturing orders, routings, special chances and other miscellaneous forms
• Able to use production equipment, hand tools, testing devises and other miscellaneous equipment and tools
• Good mechanical aptitude, as well as analytical and problem solving skills
• Good team membership skills
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Able to plan, prioritize, organize and demonstrate attention to detail
• Computer literate
