1099 Part-Time Contractual Licensed Therapist - LCPC/LCSW

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our growing behavioral health team on a part-time contractual basis.

The clinician will provide high-quality individual, family, and/or group counseling services while maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation and meeting all applicable ethical, professional, payer, and organizational requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy based on clinician experience and client needs.
• Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Diagnose and treat behavioral and mental health conditions within the clinician's scope of practice.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Complete progress notes within required documentation timelines.
• Maintain an appropriate and consistent part-time caseload.
• Participate in treatment planning, case consultation, and coordination of care when appropriate.
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, staff, and outside providers.
• Follow HIPAA, confidentiality, mandated reporting, and professional ethical requirements.
• Maintain all required Illinois licensure and professional credentials.
• Follow organizational policies and procedures related to client care, scheduling, documentation, and billing.
• Provide appropriate crisis assessment, safety planning, and referrals when clinically indicated.

Qualifications Required:

• Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.
• Active and unrestricted Illinois LCPC or LCSW license.
• Ability to practice independently within Illinois licensure requirements.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Preferred:

• Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and/or families.
• Experience with Medicaid and commercial insurance clients.
• Experience completing comprehensive behavioral health assessments.
• Experience with electronic health records.
• Bilingual clinicians are encouraged to apply.

Contractor Expectations

This is a part-time independent contractor (1099) position. The clinician is responsible for maintaining required professional licensure and meeting applicable independent-contractor requirements.

The clinician will have flexibility in establishing an agreed-upon schedule and caseload while maintaining consistency for assigned clients.

Compensation

Recommended Rate: $55 per completed clinical session

Compensation may range from $45-55 per completed session depending on experience, specialty areas, availability, and additional responsibilities.

Administrative responsibilities, meetings, training, documentation expectations, cancellations, and no-shows will be addressed according to the independent contractor agreement.
