Skilled Manual Machinist Chesapeake, VA Area Full-Time | Competitive Pay Based on Experience

We are a hands-on precision machine shop looking for a skilled Manual Machinist who takes pride in turning out accurate, high-quality parts.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and related equipment
• Machine custom and production parts from prints, sketches, or samples
• Hold tight tolerances and produce clean, professional finishes
• Select tooling, speeds, and feeds for a variety of materials (steel, stainless, aluminum, etc.)
• Perform in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
• Maintain machines and keep a clean, organized work area
• Work independently while communicating clearly with the supervisor

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience on manual lathes and mills (CNC experience is a plus but not required)
• Ability to read blueprints and work from limited information
• Solid understanding of feeds, speeds, and tooling for common alloys
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded
• Willingness to take ownership of jobs from start to finish
