CNC Manual Bridgeport Operator/Machinist
Job Description
The CNC Manual Bridgeport Operator/Machinist plays a critical role in precision machining, utilizing expertise in CNC programming, setup, and operation of Bridgeport Mills with Accurite controllers. Working within a medium-sized team and reporting to the Shop Foreman, this position demands strong analytical skills and attention to detail to produce high-quality parts by reading blueprints and maintaining machinery. The role offers opportunities for skill development and does not require travel.
Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC Bridgeport Mills with Accurite Controller
- Set up machines and perform routine maintenance
- Modify parts and materials to optimize production
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools
- Maintain quality control standards throughout production
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of machining experience
- Familiarity with machine tools and equipment
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years in CNC machining and programming
- Experience operating Bridgeport mills
- Proficient in blueprint reading and precision measuring
- Machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
