Job Description
MACHINIST: CNC LATHE SPECIALIST
COMPANY PROFILE:
Fluidyne Corp is a prime contractor that manufactures short run machined components and assemblies for the Navy. The majority of our business supports the Navy’s critical Nuclear Propulsion and Level I/Subsafe programs. Our facility is clean, well lit, fully air conditioned and equipment is well maintained. Fluidyne is proud of our extremely low employee turnover and our backlog which is continuing to grow.
WORK HOURS:
The machinist position requires a 40 hour minimum work week, with 8 hours plus overtime always available and strongly encouraged. Our lunch period is 30 minutes. We do not work on weekends, second or third shift.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
We offer a competitive compensation package commensurate with talent and experience. This package includes company paid health insurance (employees are required to pay a portion of the cost for dependents) and a 401(k) Plan that includes a 35% employer match.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
CNC lathe machinist applicants must have at least 3 years experience with the programming, set-up and machining of precision turned and/or milled parts. Machinists that are proficient with both CNC and manual equipment are preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to produce parts per drawing requirements with minimal supervision including programming, set up and operating. Due to the nature of the work at Fluidyne tight tolerances, high temp alloys (monel, copper nickel and k-monel) and low quantities are an everyday part of the job. The lathes in house currently are 2 axis with no live tooling. A VTL is a possibility in the near future.
If you wish to pursue the machinist job opportunity, please forward your resume, with salary requirements (if applicable). Please note, employers cited on resumes will not be contacted without your consent. Potential candidates must be agreeable to a background check.
