About the Role
West Coast Magnetics is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector I to help ensure the high quality of parts shipped to our customers. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining our commitment to meeting customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements, and to the continuous improvement of our Quality Management System.
What You'll Do
- QC all parts, verifying that they meet all customer specifications, including electrical specifications
- Verify that customer P.O. #, ship dates, part numbers, revision levels, and quantities are consistent across all order documentation
- Verify that all parts are built 100% to specification prior to release for shipment
- Maintain IPC 610 certification
- Ensure workmanship meets WCM and customer standards
- Sign off on all orders and certificates of compliance
- Ensure manufacturing compliance with the Standard Procedure Manual
- Keep the work area clean and in compliance with 5S standards
- Follow all applicable company Standard Procedures
- Ensure defective parts are clearly labeled and identified in accordance with company Quality Policy
- Maintain a quality inspection discrepancy log
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Authority
- Reject parts that do not meet specifications on customer drawings
- Recommend redline changes to production drawings
- Suggest methods to improve product quality and reduce time and cost to manufacture
Reporting Relationships
- Reports to: Quality Inspection Manager
- Interfaces with: All Leads, Engineering, Testing, Shipping, Material Control, and Personnel
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good communication skills
- A minimum of two years of experience working in a quality inspection role

- Accurate record keeping
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Progress toward a goal of zero customer rejects resulting from Quality Inspector discrepancies
Compensation
Pay Range: $18.58 to $23.26
