Step into a rewarding contract role providing essential support within an elementary school setting as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking meaningful, short-term work, with the assignment running from mid-August (or as soon as you are available) through the end of September. Work onsite three to four days per week, contributing your expertise to help students succeed.

Key Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current Illinois license or eligibility for Illinois certification as a COTA
  • Certification by the Board of Registry of the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Prior experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy is an asset

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with students’ IEP goals
  • Partner with special education professionals and classroom staff to support student participation and skill development
  • Work closely within self-contained autism programs, tailoring interventions to individual needs
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of student progress
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative care plans

This contract opportunity offers a weekly schedule of 21–28 hours across 3–4 days, allowing for a balanced work week. Serving as essential maternity leave coverage, your impact will help bridge the gap for students and staff.
