Make a difference in the lives of students by providing occupational therapy services in a dynamic educational setting. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting children with a range of needs, from mild to severe, and seeking a rewarding, full-time contract role during the full school year. The position is based in an engaging, itinerant environment across school sites near El Dorado Hills, CA.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • COTAs must have prior experience in school-based settings
  • Ability to provide all direct services in-person (no teletherapy)
  • Comfortable supporting students with varying levels of need, from mild to severe
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability for itinerant travel between sites
  • Open to receiving or providing virtual OT supervision for qualified COTA candidates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and support staff
  • Perform assessments, document progress, and contribute to student goal planning
  • Ensure compliance with state and district requirements for school-based therapy
  • Provide compassionate, student-centered care to foster growth and independence
