Embark on a rewarding part-time opportunity supporting students' communication and language development in a vibrant elementary school setting. This contract position is ideal for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who thrives in a collaborative, educational environment and is passionate about fostering student success.
Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active, current Texas SLP license required
- Minimum of one year of experience working as an SLP in a school setting
- Proficient in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and providing direct therapy
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and case management skills
- Skilled communicator who collaborates effectively with educators and families
- Must be able to complete Texas fingerprinting/background check requirements promptly
- ASHA certification preferred; clinical fellows (CFs) are not eligible for this position
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to a diverse elementary caseload
- Conduct evaluations, administer assessments, and develop service plans for students
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with district and state standards
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student goals
- Engage in ongoing communication with IEP teams to monitor progress
- Attend scheduled meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
Position Details:
- Contract runs from September 1, 2026, through May 20, 2027
- Part-time schedule: 20 hours per week
- Serve students fully on-site at Charlotte Anderson Elementary School
- Interviews will be held in person on August 14th
