School Counselor - Destrehan, Louisiana

As a School Counselor, you’ll become an integral part of a supportive educational community dedicated to student well-being.

Qualifications we’re seeking:

• Master’s Degree in School Counseling
• Active School Counselor Certificate
• At least three years of successful teaching experience (preferred)
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive school culture

In this dynamic role, you will:

• Provide proactive counseling support and crisis intervention to elementary students
• Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs addressing academic, social, and emotional development
• Collaborate closely with families, teachers, and administration to support student success
• Lead classroom lessons and small group sessions fostering skills like goal-setting, decision-making, and interpersonal communication
• Monitor and track student progress, making data-driven recommendations
• Serve as a resource for teachers and staff in creating a safe, supportive learning environment
