Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a rewarding contract opportunity. This full-time position is designed to cover a maternity leave from mid-October through early February, focused on working with children in transitional kindergarten through fifth grade. You'll collaborate closely with a supportive supervising Speech-Language Pathologist, ensuring you receive the guidance you need to excel and provide outstanding services to students in need.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active California SLPA license required
  • Minimum of 3 months SLPA experience, ideally in a school setting
  • Comfortable working with a TK-5 elementary caseload
  • Bilingual Spanish candidates encouraged to apply, though it is not required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language support services to elementary-aged students, following established goals and treatment plans
  • Work closely and communicate regularly with a supervising SLP via tele-supervision (Voco SLP)
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records per school and state requirements
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to foster student success
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and reporting activities as directed
