Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language therapy services in a vibrant school setting near Gastonia, NC. This position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 21, 2025, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work across multiple elementary campuses, serving a diverse group of students, including those in specialized extension classrooms and itinerant programs for Pre-K and Deaf/Hard of Hearing students. Indirect hours such as paid administrative time and team meetings are included.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active North Carolina SLP license (or eligibility)
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred; strong CFY candidates also considered
  • Experience in pediatric, school-based, or teletherapy settings highly valued
  • Familiarity with IEPs and documentation systems (training provided)
  • Ability to supervise an SLPA as needed
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability for itinerant assignments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect therapy to students with a variety of communication needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to eligibility meetings
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school/district guidelines
  • Offer supervision to SLPA(s), supporting their development
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and paid administrative tasks
  • Travel between assigned campuses with mileage reimbursement
