1st Shift Packaging & Shipping Associate
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM
First Day: 8 AM Start Time
Pay: $18.00/hr
Responsibilities:
- Produce quality products safely, on time, and at minimal cost.
- Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and respectfulness on the shop floor.
- Read and interpret blueprints or specifications for construction processes.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials for crate building.
- Inspect and repair crates as needed.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow ISPM crating procedures and processes.
- Ensure all crates meet the specific requirements of the goods being shipped.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment; adhere to all safety protocols.
- Track inventory of materials and tools; reorder supplies when necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members on large or complex projects.
- Ensure all packaging and crating meet SGP quality standards.
- Follow SGP safety guidelines at all times.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance workplace safety.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift/move materials as needed
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Organizational skills for inventory management
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
