The Mechanical Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers while driving the design, development, and implementation of custom industrial machinery and mechanical systems. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise, project management, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Mechanical Engineers, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and resource planning.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through production, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline objectives are met.
- Design and develop custom machinery and mechanical systems using CAD software and engineering best practices.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses related to motors, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and structural components.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and leadership teams to improve processes and support business objectives.
- Partner with suppliers and vendors to source, evaluate, and integrate components and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and industry regulations.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and new product development.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in mechanical design, machine design, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Project management and budget oversight experience.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and implement new technologies.
