Forklift Operator / Lumber Material Handler

Kelly® is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Material Handler to join Mark Richey Woodworking, a premier architectural millwork manufacturer in Newburyport, MA.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Hours: Approximately 48 hours per week, including paid overtime

What you’ll do
  • Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment to move, stage, stack, and organize lumber, sheet goods, millwork, and production materials.
  • Receive incoming deliveries and safely load and unload trucks.
  • Inspect materials for damage and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Enter received materials into the inventory system and accurately label and store products.
  • Maintain properly stacked, supported, and organized lumber and material storage areas.
  • Deliver requested materials to production teams throughout the facility.
  • Assist with cycle counts and monthly physical inventories.
  • Report damaged materials, shipment discrepancies, and low inventory levels.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse and receiving area.
  • Assist with additional warehouse and shop-support responsibilities as needed.
This position may be a great fit if you
  • Have previous forklift experience in a warehouse, lumberyard, building-supply, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Have experience loading and unloading trucks and safely handling long, oversized, or irregular materials.
  • Understand proper material stacking, staging, and storage practices.
  • Can accurately read packing slips, purchase orders, labels, and inventory information.
  • Are comfortable performing physically active work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing throughout the shift.
  • Are dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and willing to work scheduled overtime.
  • Can stay organized while balancing receiving, inventory, and production-support priorities.

Forklift and strong warehouse/material-handling experience are required. Experience handling lumber, sheet goods, millwork, or building materials is strongly preferred.
