Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $21.00/hr (Paid Weekly)

Contract: 08/24/2026 to 11/27/2026 (opportunity to become permanent)


Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff and provide direct patient care in a clinical setting. The Patient Care Technician will work closely with Registered Nurses and other members of the care team to assist with daily patient needs, monitor vital signs, support patient mobility, and ensure patients are safely transported.

The ideal candidate will have previous healthcare experience, strong communication skills, and a patient-focused approach to care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Registered Nurses and other clinical staff to support daily patient care.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including restroom needs and mobility.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs accurately.
  • Perform blood glucose testing as directed.
  • Assist with dressing patients and providing basic personal care.
  • Safely transport patients to and from designated areas, including assisting patients to their vehicles upon discharge.
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobility while following appropriate safety procedures.
  • Clean and prepare patient beds and patient care areas.
  • Assist nursing staff with other patient care duties as assigned.
  • Communicate patient needs or concerns to the appropriate nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
  • Follow all facility policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous healthcare or patient care experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established patient care procedures.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to safely assist with patient mobility and transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in the following areas are highly preferred:

  • Dressing and assisting patients with personal care.
  • Removing IVs under appropriate clinical direction.
  • Taking and documenting vital signs.
  • Blood glucose monitoring.
  • Patient transportation and mobility assistance.

Work Environment

The Patient Care Technician will work alongside a clinical team of approximately 20–10 team members, including Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals. The position requires frequent interaction with patients and clinical staff and involves regular walking, standing, patient assistance, and transportation duties.
