Key Qualifications:

• Active GA DOE SLI License (must have license available for verification)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language and experience interpreting in an educational setting
• Ability to engage effectively with students, educators, and staff
• Professionalism, dependability, and adaptability in a school environment
• Strong understanding of confidentiality and ethics requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation for assigned students onsite
• Support communication between students, teachers, and peers for a successful learning experience
• Adapt interpretation based on student needs, classroom activities, and IEP guidelines
• Float between caseload assignments as needed, supporting inclusive instruction
• Collaborate with the educational team to facilitate full participation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Adhere to all district policies and maintain documentation of services provided
