Wheel & Tire Operations Supervisor

Pay Range: $28–$34 per hour
Approximate Annual Salary: $58,000–$71,000

Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing daily operations of the commercial/truck wheel and tire mounting operation and warehouse. The Supervisor directs employees, coordinates production and warehouse activities, ensures quality and safety standards are met, and helps maintain an efficient workflow.

Essential Duties
  • Supervise daily wheel, tire mounting, balancing, and warehouse operations.
  • Assign work and prioritize production based on customer orders and deadlines.
  • Lead and oversee Operators and Technicians.
  • Ensure tires and wheels are properly mounted, balanced, inspected, and prepared for shipment.
  • Monitor production, quality, productivity, and turnaround times.
  • Train employees on equipment, procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tire mounting, balancing, lifting, and warehouse equipment.
  • Coordinate receiving, inventory, staging, shipping, and material movement.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, production, and quality records.
  • Identify operational issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure employees follow company safety procedures.
  • Communicate production status, staffing needs, inventory concerns, and operational issues to management.
  • Assist with scheduling and staffing as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of commercial/truck tire, automotive, warehouse, manufacturing, or related experience.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial/truck tire and wheel operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment and operational issues.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and lead a team effectively.
  • Forklift and material-handling experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
