Step into a vital role supporting students' social and emotional wellbeing within a welcoming elementary school community. This contract position focuses on creating a nurturing environment where proactive support and early intervention are the priorities. You’ll work collaboratively with grade-level groups and small sets of students, providing targeted lessons, counseling, and crisis intervention to foster student growth.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) required, with supervision available for advancement toward LCSW.
  • Previous experience in a school, youth, or educational setting strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable facilitating small group and classroom-wide lessons tailored to specific social or emotional needs.
  • Skilled in individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with educators, staff, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver social-emotional learning lessons and interventions to students individually, in groups, or by grade.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions addressing behavioral, academic, and mental health concerns.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention support as needed.
  • Gather and use data to identify student needs and guide intervention efforts.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives promoting a positive, inclusive climate.

Assignment Details:

  • Full academic year commitment (until May 28th, 2027)
  • 35 hours per week, with a consistent weekday schedule
