Job Title: Sit Down Electric Forklift Operator – Material Handler
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM until Finish
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Location: Waco, TX 76712


Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Sit Down Electric Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Waco, TX. This position is responsible for preparing mattress components for build-up according to the published schedule and effectively handling materials using an electric sit-down forklift. The ideal candidate will operate safely, efficiently, and maintain high standards for quality and workplace safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret daily schedules, identifying the raw materials needed for production.
  • Organize and transport materials by loading or bringing raw materials to the assigned work area using a sit-down electric forklift.
  • Maintain quality service and produce a quality product through close attention to detail and adherence to product specifications and delivery requirements.
  • Bundle, label, and place materials appropriately in designated locations.
  • Perform duties safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment, complying with established policies and procedures.
  • Report safety hazards, work injuries, and any concerns related to building or equipment to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support a culture of teamwork, promote good performance, and enhance productivity.
  • Perform other material handling and warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating a sit-down electric forklift (certification highly desirable).
  • Experience in material handling or warehouse environments preferred.
  • Ability to read, follow instructions, and interpret schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Good teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, beginning at 7AM until work is completed.
