Position Overview


Next Day Access East Central Florida is seeking a motivated, professional, and relationship-driven Accessibility Solutions Specialist to grow our presence throughout the community and develop strong, long-term referral relationships.

The primary focus of this position is business development, community outreach, and referral source development. The Accessibility Solutions Specialist will build relationships with healthcare professionals, senior living communities, rehabilitation providers, home health agencies, case managers, and other organizations that serve individuals who may benefit from accessibility solutions.

The role also supports the sales process by contacting and following up with company-generated leads, managing opportunities through the sales pipeline, developing expertise in accessibility products, and assisting customers with appropriate solutions and pricing.

We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, developing professional relationships, creating new business opportunities, and representing a company whose mission is to improve safety, accessibility, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Referral Relationships

  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, rehabilitation facilities, senior living communities, home health agencies, case managers, social workers, therapists, senior service organizations, and other potential referral partners
  • Conduct regular in-person visits with current and prospective referral sources throughout the territory
  • Develop new referral opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing partners
  • Educate referral partners about Next Day Access services and available accessibility solutions
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with referral sources and identify opportunities for continued engagement
  • Develop and execute territory outreach activities designed to increase brand awareness and referral volume
  • Represent the company at networking groups, professional associations, trade shows, senior expos, community events, and industry functions
  • Assist with planning and conducting presentations, educational events, and other community outreach activities
  • Professionally represent Next Day Access throughout the communities we serve

Lead & Sales Pipeline Management

  • Promptly contact and follow up with company-generated leads and customer inquiries
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective customers throughout the decision-making process
  • Prepare and follow up on estimates and proposals
  • Actively manage assigned opportunities through the sales pipeline
  • Present pricing and accessibility solutions for most standard projects while coordinating with management on more complex or commercial projects
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer communication, referral activity, pipeline status, and follow-up documentation within company systems

Accessibility Product Knowledge

  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of accessibility and mobility products, including wheelchair ramps, stairlifts, grab bars, vertical platform lifts, pool lifts, and related accessibility solutions
  • Understand common accessibility challenges and aging-in-place needs
  • Confidently explain product options, features, benefits, and applications to customers and professional referral partners
  • Participate in ongoing product, sales, and industry training

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, outside sales, relationship-based sales, healthcare outreach, medical equipment, home services, senior services, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to develop professional relationships and generate new business opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and developing relationships with healthcare professionals, business owners, community organizations, and prospective referral partners
  • Comfortable speaking with seniors, caregivers, and families
  • Self-motivated and comfortable spending significant time independently in the field
  • Ability to organize and manage a territory, appointments, leads, relationships, and follow-up activities
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable attending networking functions, community events, trade shows, and expos as a company representative
  • Basic proficiency with CRM software, email, and mobile applications
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Reliable personal vehicle available for local business travel
  • Ability to provide proof of active auto insurance meeting company requirements

Preferred Experience

  • Business development or community outreach experience within healthcare, senior living, rehabilitation, home health, DME, aging-in-place, or home services
  • Existing relationships within the local healthcare, senior services, or professional referral community
  • Consultative or relationship-based sales experience
  • Experience representing an organization at networking groups, trade shows, expos, or community events

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay: $45,000 - $55,000/year + bonus
  • Mileage reimbursement for approved business travel
  • Company-provided phone or communication platform

Monthly Performance Bonus Plan

Monthly bonuses are based on closed revenue personally managed, generated, or substantially supported by the Accessibility Solutions Specialist.

Employees become eligible for the Monthly Performance Bonus Plan beginning the first full calendar month following successful completion of the 90-day introductory period.

Management reserves discretion regarding attribution of shared or team-supported projects.

Success in this position is measured not only by revenue, but also by referral relationship development, outreach activity, pipeline management, responsiveness, professionalism, customer experience, and overall contribution to company growth.

Training & Development

Initial onboarding and training will include:

  • Accessibility product education
  • Field and installation exposure
  • CRM and sales process training
  • Referral partner and business development training
  • Pricing and estimating processes
  • Customer consultation and solution-development training

Ongoing product and industry education will be provided with the expectation that the Accessibility Solutions Specialist develops into a knowledgeable and trusted resource for accessibility solutions.


Schedule & Work Environment

  • Combination of field-based business development, customer follow-up, networking, community outreach, and office responsibilities
  • Regular local travel throughout the assigned territory
  • Significant independence in planning and managing daily field activities
  • Occasional evening or weekend networking events, trade shows, senior expos, or community events may be required
