United Fire Protection is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our growing team.
In this role, you’ll help ensure our customers critical life safety systems are operating properly when they matter most. You’ll work independently in the field, troubleshooting problems, servicing equipment, and interacting directly with customers while representing us with professionalism.

What You’ll Do
- Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems
- Perform routine maintenance and corrective repairs in accordance with NFPA 72 and company standards
- Diagnose system problems and identify code deficiencies
- Provide professional recommendations for repairs and system improvements
- Accurately document service work, findings, and parts used
- Communicate with customers, contractors, supervisors, and office personnel
- Work with fire alarm systems from manufacturers such as Notifier, Kidde, Ansul, and others
- Respond to emergency service calls and participate in scheduled on-call rotations
- Maintain United Fire Protection’s standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Fire alarm or related technical experience
- 3+ years of fire alarm inspection, service, or repair experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, OSHA requirements, and fire alarm system theory
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the assigned service territory
- Valid electrical license where required by state regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignments
- Strong communication and customer-service skills

- Experience with multiple fire alarm manufacturers and control panels
- Both service and small-project experience
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians
- Strong documentation and customer communication skills
- A reputation for doing the job correctly, safely, and professionally
