Maple Operations and Woods Crew Member

Madava Sugar Maple is seeking new members for our Maple Operations team. This is a physically demanding, full-time onsite position. Our field crew is responsible for building, maintaining, and improving a large-scale maple sap collection system, with the goal of maximizing syrup production during the sugar season. You will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions as well as in our sugarhouse where we process sap into maple syrup. We are currently hiring one or two full-time employees ahead of our 2026/2027 maple sap season.

Position responsibilities include:

• Install and replace maple sap droplines and tubing
• Install, repair, and maintain mainlines and lateral lines
• Work with high-tensile wire and tubing support systems
• Identify and correct line pitch and sagging issues
• Repair leaks and squirrel-damaged tubing
• Install and replace saddles, fittings, and other collection-system components
• Assist with vacuum system maintenance and troubleshooting
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials and supplies
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Assist with general maple syrup production and farm maintenance
• Follow food-safety and workplace-safety procedures
• Work as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and correctly

We do not expect you to have industry experience. We are willing to train motivated, hardworking individuals. However, we highly value the following experience and skills:

• Forestry, agriculture, construction, or landscaping experience.
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate a forklift.
• General maintenance/handyman experience.
• Mechanical or vehicle maintenance experience.
• Experience driving large trucks or trailers.
