Position Summary
Pier Drillers is seeking a Construction Project & Operations Manager to support estimating, project execution, customer communication, scheduling, and daily operations.
This position serves as a key connection between the office, field crews, customers, vendors, and project stakeholders. The successful candidate will help ensure projects are planned effectively, executed efficiently, and completed safely while supporting the day-to-day operations and long-term success of the company.

Construction Experience Requirement:
Candidates should have prior experience working in the construction industry, preferably with a subcontractor, general contractor, utility contractor, heavy civil contractor, foundation contractor, or similar construction-related business.
While we value diverse professional backgrounds, this position requires an understanding of construction projects, field operations, scheduling, and customer coordination. Experience limited to oil & gas operations, trucking/logistics, manufacturing, or warehouse operations without construction project experience may not provide the background needed for success in this role.
What You'll Do
Project Coordination
- Track project production and communicate progress with customers.
- Assist with project scheduling and identify upcoming project needs.
- Issue, track and manage change orders.
- Follow up on bids, proposals and customer inquiries.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, project walkthroughs, customer meetings, and occasional site visits.
- Support project planning and operational coordination.
- Assist with project documentation, reporting, and job cost analysis.
- Learn and assist with project takeoffs and estimating.
Customer & Field Support
- Communicate with general contractors, superintendents, customers, and inspectors.
- Provide project updates and customer support.
- Coordinate field service needs, equipment repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Help resolve operational issues and maintain project schedules.
- Support field personnel by ensuring they have the information and resources needed to perform their work.
Equipment, Inventory & Vendor Coordination
- Manage yard inventory and tool organization.
- Order supplies, tools, and consumable materials.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Assist with fleet tracking and maintenance scheduling.
- Help maintain equipment records and maintenance schedules.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Learn to review subcontract agreements and project requirements.
- Assist with purchase orders and project documentation.
- Support safety compliance, documentation, and recordkeeping.
- Assist with customer outreach and relationship development.
- Help identify opportunities to improve company processes and efficiency.

Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction project management or operations experience.
- Experience working for a subcontractor, heavy civil contractor, utility contractor, foundation contractor, or commercial construction company.
- Familiarity with construction plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and subcontract agreements.
- OSHA training or familiarity with construction safety practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and manage spreadsheets and project tracking documents.
- Ability to prepare professional emails and customer correspondence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to visit jobsites as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and field personnel.
