Location: Trenton, NJ
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced Survey Project Manager to lead surveying projects from initial planning through completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a survey professional who enjoys managing projects, working directly with clients, and mentoring technical staff.
Job Responsibilities- Manage surveying projects, schedules, budgets, and deliverables from start to finish
- Oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and land development surveys
- Coordinate field crews, survey technicians, engineers, and other project team members
- Review survey data, plans, plats, legal descriptions, and technical deliverables
- Communicate with clients, municipalities, contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Prepare scopes of work, proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules
- Ensure projects meet applicable standards, regulations, and quality requirements
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior survey staff
- Support business development and maintain strong client relationships
- 5+ years of professional surveying experience, with project management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, practices, and applicable NJ standards
- Experience with boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveying
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or other surveying and design software
- Strong understanding of survey calculations, legal descriptions, and plats
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client-management skills
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in New Jersey preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
