Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Diagnostic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to accurately diagnose problems, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough diagnostic assessments to identify the source and cause of reported problems.
• Gather information from customers, employees, equipment, systems, or other available sources to understand the issue.
• Use diagnostic equipment, testing tools, software, manuals, schematics, and other technical resources as appropriate.
• Perform systematic troubleshooting rather than relying on guesswork or unnecessary part replacement.
• Analyze test results and technical information to determine the root cause of problems.
• Clearly explain diagnostic findings and recommended solutions to customers, supervisors, and other team members.
• Develop accurate recommendations for repairs, replacements, adjustments, or other corrective actions.
• Prioritize diagnostic work according to urgency, safety, customer needs, and business requirements.
• Document diagnostic procedures, findings, test results, recommendations, and completed work accurately.
• Follow established safety procedures, technical standards, and company policies.
• Stay current with new technology, equipment, diagnostic procedures, and industry developments.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians, service personnel, managers, and customers.
• Verify that problems have been properly resolved after repairs or corrective actions are completed.
• Recognize situations that require escalation to a senior technician, supervisor, engineer, specialist, or other qualified professional.
• Maintain diagnostic tools, equipment, work areas, and technical resources in good working condition.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, maintenance, technical service, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to identify root causes rather than simply treating symptoms.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation, instructions, diagrams, or schematics relevant to the position.
• Comfortable using computers and electronic diagnostic or testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical problems and solutions in language that customers and non-technical employees can understand.

Working Conditions
