Laundry Attendant

Job Requirements Include:

• Ability to stand, reach, bend from waist, twist, and move in a fast-paced work environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Soil Sorting - Lift plastic bags, tear open, and dump onto conveyor belt. Separate sheets from blankets and toss downward (45-degree angle) into window. Pick up small or large pieces of linen off of conveyor belt and toss into window.

• Fold Linen – Obtain linen from dump station, pull one item from several others and hand fold or stack the item while doing quality check.

• Feed linen into folding machine – obtain linen (towel, gown, etc.) from spring bottom basket and properly place on moving conveyor while doing a quality check. The line is automatically folded.

• Feed linen into spreader – Obtain sheet or linen from container or conveyor, properly place linen on machine and press control that automatically irons and folds the item.

• Pack Out – Assemble finished linen into carts for shipping – remove stacks of linen from conveyor belts, count, and stack into carts.

• Garment Area – Place items on hangers, identify item on touch screen, send on rail system to hot box. Remove items from Robofold and separate/distribute by item and size.

• Janitor – Clean floors, lunchroom, restrooms, machinery, grounds upkeep and office area, etc.

• Isolation Gown – Inspect gowns for quality standards. Remove gown when chip reader indicates washed more than 75 or less than 75 washes into appropriate barrels.

Job Details Include:

• Temp to hire.

• $15.49 per hour.

• Shift: 5:00AM - 3:30PM or 5:30AM - 4:00PM.

  • There are 2 departments, candidates must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends.
