Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant supports clinical operations by providing direct patient care and assisting healthcare providers with routine medical procedures. This role ensures efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and a safe, clean clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight)
• Reconcile patient medications and document updates accurately in the medical record
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for provider visits
• Perform X-rays in accordance with provider orders and safety protocols
• Perform routine clinical tests and procedures per protocol
• Provide routine foot care in accordance with clinical guidelines
• Clean, disinfect, and restock exam rooms between patient visits
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Follow infection control, radiation safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all times

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required
• X-ray certification or experience preferred (as applicable)
• Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and medical terminology
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment:

• Outpatient medical clinic
• Frequent patient interaction
• Standing, walking, and light lifting required
