Skilled Carpenters / Maintenance Technicians – Gearheart Construction Company

Gearheart Construction Company is looking for two skilled carpenters / maintenance technicians to join our Maintenance Division.

Our maintenance work is primarily residential, with some light commercial projects. The work is varied. We occasionally handle major renovations, but most of our calls involve smaller maintenance, repair, and improvement projects.

Typical work may include:

· Trim and finish carpentry

· Door, window, and hardware repairs

· Drywall and painting

· Caulking and weatherproofing

· Minor plumbing repairs

· Minor electrical repairs

· HVAC-related maintenance

· Small concrete repairs and projects

· General home and building maintenance

· Small renovations, sometimes involving only a single room

We don't expect one person to be an expert at every trade. That's why we work as a team. One person may be stronger in carpentry and trim work, while another has more experience with plumbing, electrical, painting, or general repairs. Together, our small crews are expected to solve problems and get the job done right.

We are looking for experienced people who can think through a job, work with their hands, and take pride in quality workmanship. You must be comfortable working independently when needed as well as working under the direction of a supervisor and alongside other members of the crew.

Applicants must:

· Have dependable transportation

· Be reliable and show up ready to work

· Have experience in carpentry, construction, remodeling, or building maintenance

· Be capable of working independently and as part of a crew

· Take pride in doing clean, professional work

· Be willing to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks

· Provide previous employment references—we want to speak with a former employer about your work experience and dependability
