Agriculture Parts Manager

With this position you will be doing some parts manager duties and also assisting at the parts counter to look up and sell agriculture parts to walk-in and phone-in customers and internally for the technicians working on farm equipment in the shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• As an agriculture parts person you will need to accurately determine the parts needed by the customer for their farm equipment.
• Work closely with the Service and Sales Departments to supply parts as needed, promote additional sales opportunities, and maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Some manager duties will be required and will train right person

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have a basic understanding of parts used in farm equipment industry
• A farm background is helpful
• Must be organized, good with numbers, detail orientated and tolerate pressure
• Must actively look for ways to help people (internal and external customers) and improve processes and procedures
• Strong verbal communication (in person and telephone)
• Computer skills
• Ability to use critical thinking to solve problems
• Previous experience as an agriculture parts counter person is preferred, but would be willing to train someone with a farm background or previous experience as a parts counter person
