The Boys & Girls Club of Newburgh is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to teach and support youth in grades K-12. Positions are available immediately and will run through June with additional opportunities available during the summer months. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check and child abuse screening.


The Boys & Girls Club of Newburgh's Afterschool Youth Development Professional (YDP). YDPs must be high spirited, motivated, fun and have an interest in building a rewarding career with the potential for advancement. YDPs are responsible for managing up to 15 children and youth as they transition through their daily activities including homework help, sports and; recreation and computer classes while serving as mentors, planning, organizing and implementing activities. AYW’s teach from an engaging classroom curriculum and participate in year-round training in youth development.

The following part-time positions are available:

  • Afterschool Program (Grades K-12): Mon-Fri, 15 hours/week, between 2:00pm & 6:00pm.
  • Saturdays (Grades K-6): 9:00am-4:00pm
  • Evenings (Ages 16-21): Fridays 7:00pm – 11:00pm and Saturdays 4:00pm – 11:00pm
  • Salary:$20/hour
