Commercial Lighting Quotations Specialist

Exposure Lighting is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quotations Specialist to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting our sales efforts by preparing accurate and competitive quotations for commercial and architectural lighting projects.

The Quotations Specialist will review project specifications, drawings, schedules, and pricing requests; coordinate with our manufacturer partners; and work closely with customers and our internal Sales and Project Management teams throughout the bidding process.

We are open to both experienced lighting professionals and entry-level candidates who are organized, eager to learn, and interested in building a career within the commercial lighting industry.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications, drawings, fixture schedules, and pricing requests.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations, bids, and buy pricing based on project specifications.
  • Request and coordinate pricing, lead times, and product information with manufacturers.
  • Review quotations for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing with manufacturers and customers when appropriate.
  • Follow up on active quotations and work with the Sales Team to help convert opportunities into orders.
  • Communicate effectively with Sales, Project Management, manufacturers, distributors, and customers.
  • Track project revisions, addenda, and changes throughout the quotation process.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturer partners and customers.
  • Maintain organized and accurate quotation and project records.

Qualifications

  • Previous lighting quotations, electrical distribution, estimating, or related industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Entry-level candidates with strong organizational and analytical skills are encouraged to apply.
  • College degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to learn industry-specific software and applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, dependable, and punctual.
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
