Flatbed Class A CDL Driver

The Flatbed Class A CDL Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods on regional routes utilizing flatbed trailers. The ideal candidate has a minimum of two years of commercial driving experience, adhering to safety and regulatory standards while ensuring cargo is properly secured and protected. This role reports directly to the Fleet Manager and operates with a selection of company trucks, including manual and automatic options.

Responsibilities

• Secure cargo effectively on flatbed trailers using appropriate techniques and tarps
• Comply with all safety, DOT, and company regulations
• Operate Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) to maintain accurate driving logs
• Communicate clearly in English with dispatch and management
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly
• Navigate regional routes efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience
• Valid Class A CDL
• Experience with flatbed trucking and cargo securement
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
• Skilled in route navigation and time management
• Proficient communication skills
• Familiarity with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) is a must.
