Calibration Technician III
1st Shift | Onsite in Seattle, WA


Calibration Technician III to support the calibration and certification of Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) used across commercial and military aerospace programs, including the 777X, 737 MAX, 787, P-8, and Tanker. This role focuses on electronics metrology, including Radio Frequency (RF), microwave, and Direct Current/Low Frequency (DC/LF), while maintaining high technical, quality, and safety standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) using approved calibration standards and procedures
  • Perform Radio Frequency (RF), microwave, and Direct Current/Low Frequency (DC/LF) electronics metrology processes
  • Update equipment status in established systems, complete required documentation, and ensure equipment is ready for calibration
  • Inspect electronic measurement and process equipment for discrepancies, wear, and non-conforming conditions
  • Process and validate equipment using calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and manufacturer performance requirements
  • Conduct routine tests, analyze measurement data, perform required calculations, and document results
  • Prioritize workload based on daily reports, priority lists, and assignments from lead technicians
  • Provide technical information and clarification to internal customers regarding metrology and calibration processes
  • Collaborate with calibration laboratory personnel and assist with development of new calibration processes and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Must meet U.S. Person requirements for export compliance; this includes U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees
  • 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Electrical/Electronic Direct Current/Low Frequency (DC/LF) and/or Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave metrology processes
  • Experience calibrating, certifying, maintaining, or troubleshooting Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, MET/CAL, LabVIEW, Basic/Visual Basic, computer networking, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to interpret calibration procedures, technical specifications, equipment drawings, and manufacturer requirements
  • Ability to analyze measurement data and perform calculations related to calibration and metrology activities
  • Ability to work onsite on 1st shift, with flexibility to support 2nd-shift-type hours when needed
  • Successful completion of required on-the-job or formal classroom training is a contingency of the assignment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher
  • 7+ years of experience in a calibration laboratory
  • 3+ years of experience in a military Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) back shop
  • Certified Calibration Technician (CCT)
  • Experience using and configuring data acquisition units
  • Experience running and configuring automated hardware tests
  • Aerospace industry experience

Calibration Technician III to support aerospace and defense programs through the calibration, certification, maintenance, and repair of Electronic Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE). This role supports commercial and military aircraft programs including the 777X, 737 MAX, 787, P-8, and Tanker platforms, with a focus on Radio Frequency (RF), microwave, Direct Current/Low Frequency (DC/LF) metrology, calibration laboratory operations, and automated test systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair Electronic Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) using approved standards and procedures
  • Perform Radio Frequency (RF), microwave, and Direct Current/Low Frequency (DC/LF) metrology processes
  • Verify equipment performance against manufacturer specifications and established calibration standards
  • Conduct equipment inspections, identify discrepancies, and route non-conforming or out-of-tolerance equipment for corrective action
  • Complete calibration, certification, equipment tracking, and measurement documentation
  • Process equipment using calibration procedures, technical specifications, drawings, and manufacturer documentation
  • Analyze measurement data, perform mathematical calculations and uncertainty analysis, and document results
  • Troubleshoot calibration issues and provide technical guidance to internal customers regarding metrology requirements
  • Support development, validation, and implementation of new calibration procedures, processes, and automated test methods


Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Associate degree and typically 3+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of related calibration, metrology, electronics, or measurement science experience
  • 3+ years of Electrical/Electronic Direct Current/Low Frequency (DC/LF) and/or Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave metrology experience
  • Experience calibrating, certifying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Electronic Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
  • Ability to interpret calibration procedures, technical specifications, equipment drawings, and manufacturer performance requirements
  • Experience analyzing measurement data and performing calibration-related mathematical calculations
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, MET/CAL, LabVIEW, Visual Basic/Basic programming, computer networking, and troubleshooting techniques


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a calibration laboratory environment
  • 3+ years supporting a military Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) back shop
  • Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification
  • Experience configuring and operating data acquisition or automated hardware test systems
  • Aerospace, aviation, or defense industry experience
  • Familiarity with commercial and military aircraft support environments
