Box Truck Driver

Duration: 3-4 months +Contract to Full-time

Note: The candidate should have a valid DOT medical examiner card, or a previous DOT card holder would also be acceptable.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Ability to load, secure, and unload product safely, and maintain a route schedule.
• Receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery of goods to ensure timely service.
• Demonstrated communication and customer service skills.
• Accurate handling of CODs and delivery manifests.
• Conduct vehicle inspections both pre- and post-delivery, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations.
• Excellent attendance and reliability are critical.
• Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems with minimal supervision.
• Hazmat training is a plus.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior delivery experience.
• Possess a medical examiner's certificate and maintain a satisfactory driving record within company policy limits.
• Ability to become certified through OSHA in the following areas:
• • Basic Hazmat
  • Driver-Specific Hazmat
  • Security Awareness
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
