We are seeking a motivated and responsible OTR Box Truck Driver with a clean driving record to join our dynamic transportation team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck on over-the-road routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking manual transmission systems and refrigeration units when applicable
- Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries, maintaining communication with dispatch for updates or route adjustments
- Secure cargo properly using appropriate equipment such as straps or load bars to prevent shifting during transit
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery receipts, logs, and inspection reports
- Maintain a clean driving record by practicing safe driving habits and following company policies
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a focus on truck driving or delivery routes
- Prior experience with route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling is highly preferred
- Ability to operate additional equipment like pallet jacks when necessary for loading or unloading freight
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo securement techniques
- Valid Class C or higher license with a clean driving record is required
