This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, shows up reliably, works well with a crew, and is willing to learn and grow with a small company.

Position Summary

The Commercial Glazier / Storefront Installer will assist with and perform the installation of commercial aluminum storefront systems, doors, framing, and glass at construction jobsites. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial glazing, storefront installation, aluminum framing, doors, or related commercial-construction work.

Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train a motivated candidate with construction experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to learn safely.

Responsibilities

  • Install commercial aluminum storefront framing, entrances, glass, and related components.
  • Install and replace glass in storefronts, doors, interior systems, and other commercial applications.
  • Assist with assembling, fabricating, fitting, and installing aluminum framing systems.
  • Install doors, door glass, hardware, weatherstripping, gaskets, sealants, and related materials as assigned.
  • Read tape measures accurately and follow jobsite layouts, drawings, work orders, and directions from the project manager or lead installer.
  • Assist with field measurements and verify opening sizes before installation.
  • Load, unload, organize, and safely transport glass, framing, tools, and job materials.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, suction cups, ladders, lifts, and other installation equipment safely.
  • Assist with punch-list work, repairs, adjustments, and final cleanup.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite and company vehicle.
  • Communicate jobsite needs, material shortages, damage, or installation issues promptly to the field lead or project manager.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, jobsite rules, and required PPE policies.
  • Perform other field-related duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Commercial glass, glazing, storefront, aluminum framing, door, or commercial-construction experience preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic measurements and math.
  • Experience installing aluminum storefront systems, commercial glass, doors, and hardware is a strong plus.
  • Ability to read basic shop drawings, plans, dimensions, and installation instructions is preferred.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and handle glass, aluminum, tools, and materials with proper equipment and assistance.
  • Ability to work on active construction jobsites, including standing, bending, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation to report to the shop in Lawrenceville and travel to local jobsites.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred; a clean driving record is a plus if the position includes driving a company vehicle.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work well as part of a crew.
  • OSHA 10, lift certification, fall-protection training, or glazing experience is a plus, but not required for the right candidate.
