Key Responsibilities
- Read Blueprints: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and weld symbols.
- Material Prep: Cut, shear, grind, and bend metal stock using Eagle/Ercolina benders, saws, brakes, or plasma cutters.
- Fit-Up and Tack: Align and clamp parts together before final welding.
- TIG Welding: Execute precise, high-quality TIG welds on aluminum in various positions.
- Finish Work: Grind, polish, and clean welded joints to meet product standards.
- Quality Check: Inspect finished work using tape measures, calipers, or visual checks.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven history in aluminum fabrication and TIG welding .
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with TIG equipment, hand tools, and shop machinery (grinders, saws).
- Certifications: AWS or relevant welding certifications are a strong plus.
- Physical Ability: Able to stand for long periods, crouch, and lift heavy metal pieces.
- Safety: Knowledge of OSHA rules and proper use of personal protective equipment
