CAD Draftsperson

The Draftsperson plays a crucial role in architectural projects by creating precise technical drawings and blueprints that guide construction and design processes. Working as part of a drafting team and reporting directly to the project manager, this role involves collaboration to ensure compliance, accuracy, and clarity in all documentation. Occasional site visits are expected to verify measurements and material specifications, supporting seamless project execution.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop technical drawings and blueprints for architectural projects
• Use CAD software to produce detailed 2D and 3D models
• Draft designs based on project requirements and standards
• Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet design goals
• Verify accuracy of measurements and material specifications
• Ensure all work complies with relevant codes and regulations
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all drafts and revisions
• Conduct occasional site visits to validate design details and measurements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in drafting
• Relevant industry background (wood or metals)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)

• Strong skills in technical drawing and blueprint reading
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• 3D experience (a plus)
• Stairs and rails expertise
• Faro 3D scanning equipment experience (a plus)

• Military experience
