Job Description
Description of work environment:
Hands on HVAC/facilities environment supporting multiple buildings. Mix of mechanical rooms, rooftop units, customer-facing areas, and travel between sites using a company vehicle.
What is a typical workday?
Travel between sites, troubleshoot HVAC issues, complete work orders, coordinate contractors, interface with customers, update CMMS, and respond to urgent equipment problems. Some tasks must be completed same day or within the hour.
Must- Haves (Hard Skills)
• 6-8 years HVAC experience
• CMMS experience
• Ability to operate company vehicles and travel between sites
• Basic Microsoft Suite skills
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC elements and building layouts
Support HVAC requests for repairs/replacement of 3.5M SF in 76 buildings spread across 5 locations in Brevard. Basic computer skills
- Use tracking software to ensure components are accurately installed, tracked, etc.
- Interface with all levels of the organization to report on HVAC issues/repairs/replacements.
- 6-8 years’ experience in HVAC certified Refrigerant Mechanic.
- Role is customer focused; metric driven and has an expectation of timely completion and close out of Work Orders.
- Will work in a diverse and changing environment supporting many internal and external customers simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s License.
- Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Self-starter with good written and verbal communications skills.
- Microsoft Suite basic skills
This Facilities Tech D will provide support as a skilled technician (replacement). Requires 10-20 years’ HVAC experience, requires basic mastery of HVAC elements. This Tech D will coordinate work of contractors and interface with customers to accommodate all program requirements. You must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a company vehicle to travel to all 5 sites in Brevard. An in-house FTE is required. Will be on call for Program critical equipment issues. Business work orders are completed within 5 days, sometimes within the hour.
