Career Strategies is actively hiring an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for apartment communities in St. Paul, MN.

We are looking for a reliable and skilled maintenance professional who can handle apartment turns, resident work orders, preventative maintenance, and general building repairs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong hands-on maintenance skills who enjoys solving problems and providing outstanding resident service.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily maintenance work orders and resident service requests
• Perform apartment turns, make-ready work, and vacant unit preparation
• Complete painting, drywall repairs, patching, and touch-ups
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including faucets, toilets, drains, and leaks
• Perform basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, and light fixtures
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair common household appliances
• Assist with HVAC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
• Conduct routine inspections of building systems, water heaters, common areas, and equipment
• Maintain grounds, common areas, amenities, and overall property appearance
• Identify and report potential maintenance or safety concerns
• Communicate professionally with residents and property management teams
• Follow company policies and safety procedures

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of apartment maintenance, property maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related trade experience preferred
• Strong plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and appliance repair skills
• Experience with apartment turns, make-ready work, and maintenance work orders
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Excellent communication and resident customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the workday
• Dependable transportation required
• EPA Certification and HVAC experience are a plus
