Location: Elizabeth, NJ
Pay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join a well-established operation in Elizabeth, NJ. This is a hands-on position responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and servicing HVAC and refrigeration equipment to ensure reliable operation of the facility.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working with commercial or industrial HVAC systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an HVAC professional looking for steady, full-time work and competitive hourly pay.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems and equipment
• Diagnose heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration issues
• Repair or replace motors, compressors, thermostats, controls, belts, bearings, and related components
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems associated with HVAC equipment
• Inspect equipment to identify potential failures before they result in downtime
• Perform routine maintenance on air handlers, rooftop units, condensers, evaporators, and related systems
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
• Respond to HVAC-related service and maintenance requests throughout the facility
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable HVAC regulations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HVAC Technician, HVAC Mechanic, HVAC Service Technician, or Facilities Maintenance Technician
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical HVAC problems
• Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment repair
• Working knowledge of refrigeration systems is highly preferred
• Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment diagrams
• EPA certification preferred
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance issues
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable attendance and professional work habits

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work on equipment throughout the shift
• Comfortable working around mechanical equipment and in an industrial or warehouse environment
• Ability to safely use ladders and standard HVAC tools and equipment

Compensation

$25.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on HVAC experience, technical skills, and qualifications.
