About the Position
We are looking for a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in industrial electrical work and gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced electricians.
The ideal candidate is dependable, willing to learn, safety-minded, and able to follow electrical drawings and instructions.
Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with electrical installations, wiring, and equipment assembly.
- Read and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Assist with installing conduit, wire, cable, terminal blocks, and electrical components.
- Pull, route, terminate, and label electrical wiring.
- Assist with building and wiring electrical control panels.
- Install and connect components such as circuit breakers, fuses, relays, contactors, terminal blocks, PLCs, and control devices.
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical systems under the direction of an experienced electrician.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Properly identify and track electrical materials and components.
- Follow company safety procedures and electrical codes.
- Work as part of a team to complete projects on schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous electrical, construction, mechanical, or industrial experience is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn the electrical trade.
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts is helpful.
- Ability to read and understand basic drawings or diagrams.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to follow safety procedures and instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment.
- Ability to work in industrial and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work from ladders.
