Job Description
Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) interested in making a meaningful impact in a vibrant school environment for the full 26/27 academic year. This contract position centers on providing vital speech and language services to students in grades K-12, supporting their communication and academic success.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active Florida SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates also considered
- Experience with pediatric populations, preferably within schools
- Comfortable addressing a wide spectrum of speech and language needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
Role & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders across K-12
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student support
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to reports, and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions in accordance with best practices
- Advocate for students’ communication needs within an engaging school setting
