Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students near Gary, IN, as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. This assignment is tailored for clinicians who thrive in educational settings and are eager to make a difference in school-based speech and language programming. Multiple SLP positions are available, with a preference for those holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). SLA support can be discussed based on site needs; no SLPA's are considered at this time.
Openings include:
- Portage Township: Serve at Fegley Intermediate School and Crisman Elementary, overseeing a caseload of approximately 100 students.
- Porter Township: Flexibility to work at either Porter Lakes Elementary (Developmental Preschool—1st grade, caseload ~70–80) or a split assignment between Porter Lakes, Boone Grove Elementary, and Boone Grove Middle (Grades 2–8, caseload ~75).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech therapy services in school settings.
- Complete evaluations, progress monitoring, and documentation in collaboration with Special Education teams.
- Foster a welcoming and communicative environment among students, families, and interdisciplinary staff.
- Provide consultative support and guidance to teachers and SLA staff as appropriate.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active state licensure and ASHA CCC strongly preferred.
- Previous school-based SLP experience favored.
- Excellent collaboration, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
