Experience the rewarding impact of supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This full-time, contract position covers a maternity leave assignment from mid-October through early February, working with Transitional Kindergarten through 5th-grade students. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with a highly regarded supervising Speech-Language Pathologist through a virtual connection, ensuring your skills and approach align for a successful partnership.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California SLPA license required
  • Minimum of three months’ hands-on experience as a SLPA in a school environment
  • Familiarity with elementary (TK-5) student needs and caseload management
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are highly valued, though not essential
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with a supervising SLP

Position Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech and language therapy plans, as directed by the supervising SLP
  • Support a diverse elementary caseload by delivering tailored interventions in both individual and small group settings
  • Collect data and document student progress to inform ongoing therapy strategies
  • Engage with teachers and families to reinforce language development goals within classroom routines
  • Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to all school and professional standards
