This full-time contract position offers you the opportunity to collaborate within a supportive educational team, focusing on elementary and middle school students. You’ll play a key role in helping students maximize their communication abilities while working regular daytime hours, Monday through Friday.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Speech and Language certification
- Demonstrated experience in a school setting, especially with elementary and middle school populations
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for diverse learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of students’ speech and language abilities
- Create tailored therapy sessions and document progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Deliver direct therapy to students, both individually and in small groups
- Assist in developing strategies and resources that support students’ communication success in the classroom
