Job Description
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist this school year. You'll work with a dynamic team across multiple sites near Horseheads, NY, serving a diverse caseload and making a significant impact in students’ communication skills.
This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week from September 8 through June 27. As an itinerant provider, you'll benefit from paid travel between schools and participate in both direct therapy and collaborative meetings—with paid indirect/admin time included to support your professional responsibilities. The district values a supportive environment, providing training for the IEP system, and offering supervision for both Clinical Fellows and licensed SLPs.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid New York State SLP license with TSSLD
- Accepting applicants with CCC or CFY status (supervision provided for CFY)
- Experience or strong interest in serving K-12 school populations
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and special education processes a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering student growth and inclusion within educational settings
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering speech/language therapy to students across grade levels (K-12)
- Developing and implementing IEP goals
- Collaborating with educators, administrators, and families
- Providing indirect services including team meetings and administrative documentation (billable time)
- Traveling between school sites with mileage/travel paid
- Participating in district training and integration with school teams
