Job Description
Embark on a rewarding opportunity in the Denver area, focused on making a difference in students' lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) within an engaging school environment. This contract role begins as soon as possible and extends through late May, offering you the chance to work two full days per week (14-15 hours in total) with a vibrant student community at Vega Collegiate Academy.
As the dedicated SLP for this setting, you'll work with a mild-to-moderate caseload spanning a range of student ages. Collaborate closely with educators and families to develop and implement individualized speech-language interventions, playing a key part in student growth and school success. This is an onsite-only position, allowing for meaningful in-person connections and support.
Qualifications & Credentials:
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) certification
- Valid Colorado SLP license (Speech-Language Pathologist, Speech Connectionist, or Speech Therapist, ages birth thru 21)
- Strong background in school-based SLP practice with familiarity working with mild-moderate needs
- Ability to pass district-required background checks and fingerprinting
What You’ll Do:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for students with speech and language needs
- Develop and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student communication outcomes
- Document therapy notes, maintain compliance with district and state regulations
- Deliver direct services onsite for a consistent school assignment
