Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity providing Speech-Language Pathology services for K–8 students during a maternity leave coverage for the 2026–2027 school year. This contract position spans from August 10, 2026, through the first week of November 2026, serving two closely located school campuses near Portage, IN. You'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact, supporting approximately 90 students across Liberty Elementary and Liberty Intermediate/Middle School. The flexible scheduling allows you to organize your workday across both campuses according to your preferences within a 7-hour workday (plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting working with K–8 students
- Familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, and collaborative multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Indiana SLP licensure (or eligibility)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to a caseload of approximately 90 elementary and middle school students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to student evaluations, and document student progress
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to maximize student success
- Split your time effectively between two buildings with autonomy in daily scheduling
